doante.com ("we," "us," or "the charity") respects the people who fund meals, tutor children, pack hygiene kits, and read our stories. This Privacy Policy explains how information is treated in connection with the doante.com website, newsletter tools, donation-interest forms, volunteer forms, and related charity communications in the United States. It is written for donors, volunteers, families who contact us, journalists, and partners.
doante.com is a U.S. charitable website operated to support food security, education, clean water, community health, elder care, and household stability. We can be reached at hello@doante.com. This site does not publish a public street address or telephone number. We chose that design so families and staff are not exposed to unsolicited visits, while still remaining reachable by email.
The public website is static. Forms validate in your browser and display a message such as "one of our representative will contact you." In this demonstration environment, form contents are not transmitted to a remote server by the page itself. If doante.com later connects a form to email or a processor, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain a fresh consent.
Until that happens, please assume that anything you type exists on your device until you choose to email us directly. Do not include government ID numbers, bank account numbers, or medical diagnoses in website forms.
Standard web logs may record browser type, device category, referring page, and approximate region if a hosting provider enables analytics in the future. We do not currently require you to create a password-protected account. We do not use the site to sell advertising profiles.
Charity work sometimes touches health, food insecurity, housing, and children"™s education. We do not ask website visitors to provide a child"™s full name, school ID, or medical record. If a parent or caregiver shares a story, we treat it as confidential program context, not marketing content, unless we have a separate, documented media release.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share donor or volunteer lists with unaffiliated charities for their independent solicitation, except where you ask us to coordinate a joint campaign and we tell you first.
Depending on your state, additional rights may apply. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context advertising. doante.com does not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood, and this static site does not run a third-party ad exchange. If that changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" method.
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with consumer privacy statutes may request access, deletion, or opt-out of targeted advertising where those laws apply. Because we are a charity, some employment and nonprofit exemptions may apply; we will still honor reasonable, verifiable requests related to marketing email and donor contact preferences.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom and contact us, we process data to take steps at your request before a potential donor or volunteer relationship, and to pursue our legitimate interests in operating a transparent charity website, balanced against your rights.
The core pages work without requiring you to accept advertising cookies. A future analytics cookie, if added, would be used to understand which stories about hunger, schooling, and health people read - so we can write more useful reports, not to retarget you with unrelated products. You can control cookies through your browser. The footer includes links to this Policy so you can review practices before you subscribe.
doante.com programs serve children, but this website is directed to adults: donors, volunteers, educators, and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted a form, email hello@doante.com and we will delete the information from any mailbox we control. Photographs of children on the site are editorial illustrations of charitable work; they are not a directory of beneficiaries.
If we use email hosting, form forwarding, donation processors, or newsletter vendors in the future, those providers will be bound to use data only on our instructions. Typical examples include sending a "thank you" note, issuing a tax acknowledgement, or suppressing an unsubscribed address. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect a person from serious harm, or in connection with a nonprofit merger where the successor agrees to this Policy or a notice of change is given.
Donor records that become official (after a completed gift) are kept as required by nonprofit accounting and IRS substantiation rules, often for several years. Newsletter lists are kept until you unsubscribe. Volunteer interest notes are kept long enough to match you to a safe, suitable shift, then reduced to what operations still need. Website server logs, if any, are rotated on a schedule set by the host.
No website is perfectly secure. We design forms to avoid collecting payment card data on this static site. Email is not encrypted end-to-end unless you and we arrange otherwise. Please do not send Social Security numbers, credit-card PAN data, or passwords to hello@doante.com.
Charity communications can exploit hardship if they are careless. Our practice is to use natural photographs that show community, childhood, volunteering, and care - not humiliation. We avoid inventing quotes for people who did not speak. Testimonials on the site are representative of the kinds of feedback we receive from parents, teachers, volunteers, and partners. If you believe a story or image concerns you and you want it reviewed, write to us. Protecting dignity is part of data protection in a charity context.
The site is intended for a United States audience. If you visit from another country, you understand that communications may be handled in the U.S. and that U.S. law may differ from your local law.
We will post updates to this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we begin collecting payments on-site or adding analytics that materially affect privacy, we will provide additional notice on the homepage or by email to subscribers.
