These Terms & Services ("Terms") govern your use of the doante.com website, donation request forms, volunteer interest forms, newsletters, and related charity content (the "Services"). doante.com is a United States charitable organization dedicated to food security, education, clean water, community health, elder care, and emergency household support. By accessing the site or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms.
doante.com exists to raise awareness and resources for families and children experiencing hardship in the United States. Campaign pages describe intended uses of gifts such as weekend meal kits, classroom supplies, drinking-water filters, clinic-day materials, friendly visiting for older adults, and home-starter goods for households leaving shelter. We do not guarantee that a particular family you imagine will receive a named item; gifts support programs that serve qualifying households through partner schools, pantries, clinics, and volunteer teams.
Nothing on this website constitutes legal, tax, medical, or financial advice. Donor acknowledgements, if issued after a confirmed gift, are for your records. You are responsible for determining how a contribution is treated under applicable tax law, including Internal Revenue Code rules for charitable contributions.
This website is a static, informational presence. Forms on doante.com are client-side request forms. They do not process credit cards, store passwords, or complete a live payment. When you submit a donation, volunteer, contact, subscribe, or unsubscribe form, you are asking a representative to follow up. A confirmation message may appear on screen. That message is not a receipt and not a completed transaction.
You must be at least 18 years old to submit a donation request or volunteer application, or you must have a parent or legal guardian submit on your behalf. You agree not to:
Photographs on doante.com are used to illustrate the human reality of hunger, learning, health, and community care. They are not an invitation to identify, contact, or photograph program participants.
When you choose a cause - for example Pure Water, Education, Medical, Nutrition, Elder Care, or Shelter - you are expressing a preference. doante.com will make good-faith efforts to apply confirmed gifts to that program area. If a restriction cannot be honored because a project is fully funded, paused, or no longer feasible, we may apply the gift to the nearest related charitable activity that still serves children and families in need.
Frequency buttons (monthly or one-time) and amount selectors on the Donations page are planning tools. They help a representative understand how you wish to give. They do not create an automatic charge. Any future recurring arrangement would be confirmed with you in writing before it begins, and you may stop it by contacting hello@doante.com or using the unsubscribe tools for marketing mail.
Employer matches, in-kind food, school supplies, and volunteer time are welcome when they meet safety and quality standards. We may refuse items that are expired, unsafe, or costly to store. In-kind gifts are not assigned a cash value on this website.
Because this site does not collect payments, there is no automated refund. If a representative later processes a gift with you through a designated processor and an error occurs, contact hello@doante.com promptly. Refunds of completed charitable gifts, if ever offered, are discretionary and may be limited by bank rules, processor policies, and nonprofit accounting standards.
Volunteering with doante.com is a privilege of service, not employment. Shifts may involve lifting, food handling, or working near children and older adults. We may ask for background checks, orientation, or role-specific training before you serve. You agree to follow safety instructions, respect confidentiality of families, and refrain from photography unless a program lead gives written permission.
Events listed on the Events page may be postponed for weather, partner capacity, or public-health reasons. Registration through a form is a request to attend, not a guaranteed ticket. doante.com is not liable for travel costs you incur to reach an event.
The doante.com name, heart-and-hand logo, campaign copy, and original graphics are owned by doante.com or used under license. You may share links to public pages for noncommercial advocacy. You may not copy the site design, scrape donor lists (none are published), or present our materials as your own fundraising brand.
Third-party trademarks, including social platforms linked in the footer, remain the property of their owners. Links to Facebook, Instagram, and similar networks are for sharing and community, not an endorsement of those platforms"™ policies.
How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy. Newsletter signup and unsubscribe are available from the footer of every page. Transactional follow-up about a form you submitted is not the same as marketing mail. You can ask us to limit either type of message by emailing hello@doante.com.
THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY U.S. LAW, DOANTE.COM DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that campaign totals are updated in real time, that every linked image will load, or that volunteer opportunities will remain open.
Charitable outcomes depend on community conditions, partner capacity, and the generosity of many donors. Past meals served or students helped are not a promise of future results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, doante.com and its board, volunteers, and partners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost donations, lost data, or replacement costs, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the website shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount of any confirmed gift directly at issue, whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be limited (including certain claims under state consumer law).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless doante.com from claims arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right, including intellectual property and publicity rights, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which doante.com maintains its principal nonprofit registration, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction shall have exclusive venue, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any forum to protect the charity"™s name, beneficiaries, or intellectual property.
We may update these Terms as programs grow, as fundraising rules change, or as the website adds features. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance. Questions about these Terms, directed gifts, or volunteer standards may be sent to hello@doante.com.
Thank you for treating doante.com as a serious charity: a place where generosity is organized, families are respected, and every public promise is meant to be kept.
